More About me

Hello! My name is Morgan Dean (she/her/hers) and I am an Agency Affiliated Counselor here at Life Transitions. I am actively pursuing a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy at Antioch University Seattle. I received my Bachelor’s in Psychology from Wichita State University. My approach towards therapy is client-centered, collaborative, systemic, positive, and strength-based. Essentially, I work with you, where you’re at, and help you with your needs/goals. Some of the therapeutic techniques I use, but are not limited to, include: Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and mindfulness practices. I have experience with anxiety, depression, family conflict, stress management, life transitions, relationship issues, parenting, and children/adolescence.

A little more about me: I am from the Midwest and have spent the majority of my life in Kansas up until December 2018 and relocated to Washington. I have two pets (or “fur babies” as I like to call them): Pippin, a 3-year-old Persian cat, and Sundae, an almost 2-year-old Labrador-pit bull mix. I believe animals enrich our lives and can improve our mental health! My hobbies include drinking coffee, reading, watching TV/movies, interior decorating, playing video games, and cuddling and playing with my pets. Please feel free to tell me your interests and hobbies too and we can incorporate them into your therapy journey!
