More About me
My education background includes a B.S. in Biology from the University of Washington Seattle in 2019 and currently entering my second year in the MSW program at the University of Washington Tacoma.
My areas of expertise include adolescent inpatient mental health and addiction treatment as well as outdoor experiential education programs for all ages.
I’m Kris Hall (they/she), an MSW student and clinical intern. My therapeutic approach is grounded in empathy, equity, and curiosity. I believe healing happens through relationships that are nonjudgmental, culturally responsive, and rooted in connection. I value working collaboratively with my clients to help them explore who they are, what they’ve been through, and where they want to grow. I take a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach, informed by both lived experience and academic training. I’m especially passionate about supporting LGBTQ2IA+ and queer individuals, as well as increasing access to healing spaces. In practice, I bring my full, authentic self into the room. I’ve seen how change can start with something as simple as being heard, and I aim to create that space with intentional presence and mutual respect. My own journey as a third-culture kid and queer individual has shaped my commitment to cultural humility and the power of story. I believe clients are the experts of their own experiences, so I see my role as a partner who can offer tools, reflection, and support as they build lives that feel authentic and sustainable. I look forward to hearing your story!
My interests include hiking, horseback riding, exploring new places, reading memoirs, and drinking coffee on my porch. I also work as a barista, as an Equity & Inclusion specialist at UWT, and I volunteer as an EMT with Search and Rescue for Pierce County.
