More About me
Chris McKnight brings a warm, collaborative, and culturally attuned presence to his work as a therapist. Born and raised in the heart of Seattle, Chris was shaped by the richness of a diverse community. His experience fuels his deep commitment to inclusive, client-centered care. He believes in meeting people exactly where they are, creating a safe and respectful space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to move toward the changes they seek.
With a background in social work, harm reduction, and community health, Chris has extensive experience supporting individuals navigating complex life challenges. His expertise includes case planning, group facilitation, HIV/STI education, PrEP navigation, and overdose prevention. He is also a certified medical assistant, offering a rare blend of clinical knowledge and compassionate care, particularly with individuals experiencing substance use disorders, dementia, and other health-related vulnerabilities.
Chris holds a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) from the University of Washington, where he focused on applied social theory and inclusive care practices. He draws from Narrative and Collaborative Therapy models to guide his clinical work; approaches that emphasize understanding each person’s story from their perspective and working together to achieve meaningful goals.
In every session, Chris strives to foster a respectful partnership that centers your voice and values. Whether you’re navigating a difficult season, exploring personal growth, or seeking clarity and connection, Chris is here to support your journey.
Outside of his clinical work, Chris enjoys playing basketball with friends and diving into anime of which his favorites include Black Clover and Yu Yu Hakusho.
